We will take you through a process to determine if your product is feasible, help you plan your business using the LEAN business model, and coach you through developing a financial model to ensure it is profitable.
We will help you scope your design, introduce you to product partners, and work through manufacturing support issues with you.
We will work with you to determine ethical requirements, trial your design, carry out a trial evaluation and measure the impact of the trial.
We can offer you background research support, IP generation and protection advice, and work with you to develop a future roadmap.
We can help you identify and understand your markets, including competitors, align your products and services to those markets, determine how to access those markets, develop appropriate marketing channels and measure the results.
To facilitate these processes, we also look for appropriate funding sources to build your innovation into a viable and profitable project.
These stages of support will align your product with market need, reduce your product development risk and improve your chances of success. DHEZ will access its ecosystem of data owners, health and social care providers, hospital trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups, academics, and public bodies to ensure the support is fit for purpose.
DHEZ Ltd runs a number of intensive “bootcamps” throughout the year that are designed to take ideas and test them very quickly before too much time or capital is invested into them. These accelerator programmes work alongside incubation support as more in-depth fast-track support for selected high-growth companies. They are either investor or market-access focused and provide participants access to all of those stakeholders necessary to ensure a great product:market fit.
Our current accelerator programme, Northern MAX, is fully subscribed and we are therefore not taking applications for it.
Northern MAX is a market-access focused 12-week accelerator programme that has been funded by Bradford Metropolitan Council and AD:Venture via ERDF (European Regional Development Fund).
Delivered by DHEZ LTD and innov8tive Minds Ltd, our first collaborative programme began on the 8th January 2017 and is based out of the fabulous co-working space at the Digital Exchange in Little Germany, Bradford.
This accelerator has been designed to help startups, SMEs and entrepreneurs, with ideas and/or technologies in development, that solve health and social care problems. Via intensive support, these get from R&D, through proof of concept and to first customer (market access).
During this programme teams will:
- Validate their technology and business models
- Create and test MVPs
- Be introduced to potential customers, funders and investors
Graduates from the programme will leave with a clear understanding of growth strategy, funding options and market opportunity. They will have had the opportunity to secure funding, test assumptions in live NHS and care settings (where appropriate), and pitch to potential customers and investors.
Supporters and sponsors of Northern MAX include: 50+ NHS organisations including NHS England, NHS Digital, trusts and CCGs; Bradford 2020; councils, investors including Northern Powerhouse Fund, Mercia, North Invest, Accelerated Digital Ventures; Tech North, Santander, Grant Thornton and Clarion – to whom we are hugely grateful!
Where the support is delivered
Support can be delivered virtually or in the Digital Exchange, which also offers high quality newly refurbished start-up space and events and meetings facilities.
DHEZ Academic’s newly refurbished space in the Phoenix Building on the University of Bradford City Campus, opening in summer 2017, will complement the Digital Exchange with further start-up space and a physical facility to engage with the DHEZ community of health professionals, academics, learners and patients and test ideas in a live regulated evaluation environment.
