Ben’s Place (Survivors West Yorkshire) is the first specialist sexual violence project in the Yorkshire region to pioneer tele-therapy for male survivors of CSA/Rape.
During 2019 it will be running a series of workshops to highlight male survivors needs and how the use of technology can help to enhance Post Traumatic Growth (PTG)
The workshops aim is to explore the needs of male survivors. There will be a set of films offering insights into the diverse ‘voices’ of male survivors. There will be a short overview of a series of PTG research projects emerging from the University of Liverpool’s Dept of Clinical Psychology. For example, PTG in male survivors following fatherhood. The workshops will finally offer an opportunity for open discussion around tele-therapy for complex populations like sexual violence survivors and what PTG informed responses might mean for improved human services interventions with male survivors more generally.
