We have now reached the end of our first year of DHEZ Ltd we have taken the opportunity to take a look back and see how far we have come. From an opening event back in April 2016, we have gone from strength to strength with events, activities and new tenants starting to make DHEZ a thriving hub for digital health innovation.

The grand opening saw a host of local and national industry experts, innovators, entrepreneurs and academics come together to launch DHEZ and to take a look at the extraordinary facilities on offer, see the superb refurbishment of the historic building and network with colleagues.

Following the successful launch, DHEZ put on a mini-festival in June – showcasing the variety and depth of innovation happening in the area. We welcomed over 100 guests, with 25 speakers and 18 technical demonstrations covering topics as diverse as Cyber Security, Compassionate Cities, Internet of Things and more. We are already planning our 2017 festival.
Tenants have also begun to feel the benefit of the DHEZ facilities.

Following the opening of their new offices in DHEZ digital service provider FGS have collated their health Care products and services, rebranding them as FGS Health.

Fred Smith, MD of FGS is clear about the advantages, “DHEZ is about improving people’s lives and health services through new innovations in digital health and care. Through DHEZ we can collaborate with other businesses to develop new digital health products and services in a community that nurtures ideas.

Cloud computing company i-Virtuals also arrived in 2016. Their business offers anytime, anywhere access to corporate office and line-of-business applications instantly from the iV Cloud. MD Ashoka Reddy is already a keen collaborator, ‘We have partnerships with leading technology companies such as Microsoft, IBM, VMware, Rackspace, Amazon, Google and OpSource, who operate international, multi-location Tier 3 Data Centres. This allows us to offer an enterprise-class Cloud service.”

Ashoka is looking forward to getting more digital health innovators through the doors and seeing even more collaboration become the norm at DHEZ.

Data Flock has also established themselves as a tenant at DHEZ. They are right at the forefront of big data – something that will have an impact on all parts of life in the future, especially health.

‘Starting our business at DHEZ meant we not only had a great space to work in, but we also got to meet lots of organisations that needed our Data Science skills to create new insights for them’, MD Mark Barrett comments, ‘We’ve attended DHEZ networking sessions, events and are often asked to give presentations in front of interesting people. DHEZ have also provided us with business advice when we’ve needed a sounding board to bounce ideas off. It’s a great place to work and we’ve got a lot out of being located here with the team’.

DHEZ is going from strength to strength – with events and collaborations coming up in the new year, it seems DHEZ is the place to do business and digital and health entrepreneurs are starting to see the benefit!
